Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people. I specialize in helping women and children with anxiety, depression, stress, and grief/loss. My aim is to offer high quality mental health services to my clients. I have over 15 years experience working with children and their families in the school and clinical settings. After graduating from Texas A&M University College Station; I was a Kinder, 2nd, and 6th grade teacher for several years. After several years as a teacher, I completed my Master’s of Education in Guidance and Counseling from The University of Texas- Pan American. After graduating, I worked as a school counselor at the elementary and high school level for about 10 years. After moving to the Austin area, I worked at a clinic offering school based mental health services to children, teens, and parents. Also, I have worked with various populations of children, teens, and women from diverse backgrounds. I use researched based modalities and techniques that are culturally informed and person centered.
